Moving on…

I recently resigned from my post at Root Markets and LeadROI. LeadROI is an on-demand lead management software that I co-founded, which was acquired by Root Markets in Feburary this year. Being part of LeadROI was an exciting opportunity to learn about starting and running a company. I’m sure we didn’t feel the same glamor and rush as a startup in the Bay Area, but it certainly was an experience of a lifetime.

The acquisition by Root Markets was also a tremendous opportunity to learn about integrating companies — albeit both startups — and it was exciting to work with such individuals as Lewis Ranieri (considered the father of the mortgage-backed securities market), Marcia Myerberg (former Treasurer of Freddie Mac), and Mark Korell (former CEO of Wells Fargo Home Mortgage). With my background at Countrywide Financial, the acquisition clearly put me among the experts of the mortgage space. Root Markets was founded by Lew Ranieri and Seth Goldstein. Seth has since moved to the Silicon Valley where he is pursuing some exciting innovations in social media.

I chose to leave the company to pursue new innovative ideas in the Internet advertising arena. More info to come on that soon. But, there is no doubt that I will keep my hands and eyes on the online consumer finance space.

I’ve finally been able to pay some attention to organizing my 11,000-email-inbox and my contact list, spend some time on my social identity (LinkedIn and Facebook profiles), and give my blog some more attention.
