This last weekend I spent some much needed time in San Francisco. When I returned from the trip I thought about how fellow entrepreneurs were sharing ideas openly. I saw how this strengthens innovation, collaboration, trust and pushes everyone to think and work harder. Being a Bay Area outsider at the moment (8/9/2007), and having been tied up co-founding and then later selling a software company, I never really had the context to share ideas at networking events and local coffee shops.
I am now working on a new idea in Internet advertising which I won’t share just yet. But, I also want to start openly sharing the ideas that come to mind or new businesses I come across. Most people who know me consider me a guy who has a lot of ideas but doesn’t do anything about it. Now, I’m at least doing something about all those ideas I can’t immediately take action on. I’m sharing them!
